Francisca De Vries

Francis de Vries brings extensive expertise in the healthcare sector, covering both content and management aspects. Originally trained as a geriatric physiotherapist, she graduated with honours from a Post HBO program in business administration. Furthermore, Francis successfully completed modules in change management, innovation, and process management at Nijenrode.

Throughout her career, Francis held a variety of positions in elderly care, including serving as a geriatric physiotherapist and managing multiple treatment services and geriatric rehabilitation units. Her expertise predominantly lies in paramedical treatment, geriatrics, and gerontology, in addition to her managerial responsibilities. Furthermore, she served as a senior policy officer with a focus on quality and contributed as a co-author to several publications.

With her extensive management experience and educational background in business administration, Francis has acquired substantial knowledge in management and organization, management and care, commercial economics, and HRM. In recent years, she has been actively involved in supervising nursing and paramedical students in their practical research for their final thesis, as well as mentoring students in commercial economics and (post-) management studies.

Francis provides assistance to HBO and post-HBO students with their graduation thesis, including the development of research proposals, plans of approach, thesis writing, and resits. She offers guidance to students enrolled in (post)-HBO courses in Geriatrics, Gerontology, nursing, and paramedical studies, especially those conducting qualitative research.

Furthermore, Francis offers her support to students studying Commercial Economics, HRM, and (post-) HBO Management and Organisation and Management and Care programs. She assists them in their qualitative research projects by refining problem statements, clarifying main questions and subquestions, and helping to create feasible research plans. Francis also plays a vital role in bridging the gap between theory and practice, ensuring a coherent structure in the thesis, and providing guidance in thesis design to bring organization to the research process.
